What is KPV?

KPV is a tripeptide whose name directly identifies the amino-acid order: lysine, proline and valine. The three letters are a compact sequence designation.

K is the one-letter code for lysine, P for proline and V for valine. KPV can also be written Lys–Pro–Val, expressing the same sequence without one-letter codes.

KPV has the same number of amino acids as GHK, for example, but different building blocks and order. Two substances being tripeptides does not make them the same molecule.

KPV as a separate product and in Klow

KPV is also listed as a component of Klow. The separate KPV product differs from Klow, which lists three additional named components.

The quantity of a KPV variant cannot be transferred to the KPV content of the Klow blend. That comparison requires a stated amount or proportion for KPV within the blend.
